Our story
Otto & Fern started the way most good ideas do — with a dog.
Ours is called Hugo. Like every dog owner, we wanted the best for him: honest food, proper exercise, and the everyday care that adds up to a long, happy life. What we couldn't find was a single place to keep on top of it all — so, before anything else, we built one.
The Otto & Fern app
The app is where this whole thing began, and it's still the heart of it. It builds a daily care plan around your dog — exercise, food, water and supplements, worked out from their breed, age and activity — and keeps everything in one place:
Wellness Scan uses AI to help you keep an eye on the things you're already squinting at — coat and skin, eyes, teeth, ears, paws, body condition. It won't play vet (nothing should), but it helps you spot when something's changed and tells you plainly when it's time for professional eyes.
Ask Otto is your pocket companion — ask him anything dog, out loud, and he'll talk you through it, from feeding questions to "can dogs eat that?" moments in the kitchen.
Walks, tracked and discovered — live GPS tracking for your daily routes, a finder for new walks near you, and spoken turn-by-turn directions so you can watch your dog instead of your phone.
And at the end of every month and year, the app wraps your dog's story up into a recap worth keeping — every walk, every win, every weigh-in.
The supplements
The app told us what dogs need every day. The supplement range grew from there — starting with The Good Stuff, our daily multivitamin. Every Otto & Fern product is formulated in the UK and manufactured to the GMP code of practice. Every ingredient is declared on the label. And every claim we make follows authorised UK wording — if we say an ingredient contributes to normal skin and coat, it's because that's what the evidence supports, not because it sounds good.
Hugo tries everything first. If it's not good enough for him, it doesn't carry our name.
